Since 1895 Wurst Kitchen has been making the finest quality,
all natural,  handmade sausages & smoked meats available anywhere!  Our sausages are made exactly the same way today as when our shop opened 120 years ago.  It’s a long, labor intensive process where all orders are processed individually, the meat you bring us will be the same meat you get back – Guaranteed!  We use

our very own sausage recipes made with fresh herbs & spices,

closely trimmed whole muscle meats,  natural casings and real wood smoke to produce a product that is something really special! 

We Can Only Accept Deboned Meat.  Cut the meat from the bone, it doesn’t have to be pretty or professional and we’ll take it from there.  We won’t make a product that we won’t eat ourselves; therefore we will inspect your meat and remove anything that we wouldn’t want in one of our own sausages.  Meat received with bones will incur an additional deboning charge.

The Minimum We Can Make Of Any One Item Is Ten Pounds and can be increased in five pound increments thereafter.  Per your instructions we will add 1/3 up to 1/2 pork meat, not fat, to your wild game meat.

Example:
                                         Sausages w/ 1/3 Pork 
                            10# Venison + 5# Pork = 15#  Sausage
                           
(Venison x 1.5 = Sausage w/ 1/3 Pork)              


                                         Sausages w/ 1/2 Pork
                           10# Venison + 10# Pork = 20# Sausage
                             (Venison x 2 = Sausage w/ 1/2 Pork)


All Our Prices Are Based On Finished Weight.    Most places have you pay upfront for the green or starting weight, any shrinkage during the smoking process is on you!  Here at Wurst Kitchen, the final price is determined by the weight of the finished product, any shrinkage during the smoking process is on us!  WE NEVER CHARGE FOR SHRINKAGE!

Drop Off / Pickup  We offer two locations for your convenience. 

 Please note that all processing is done at our main Aurora location. 

Our Aurora shop is open seven days a week.  Our Plano outlet store is only open on Saturdays during the fall & winter months. 

Your order will be ready up to two week sooner if you drop off & pick up at our Aurora shop!


We have limited cooler space and can't store your finished product.
                When called, please pick up your order promptly!

Requirements


   Please ask questions and understand what you are ordering!


            Once a Sausage is Made, it Can't be Unmade! 

 

We can only accept clean, de-boned, fresh or frozen game meat.

 

Meat received with bones will be charged an additional deboning fee.

 

All orders containing game birds will be assessed a $5 grinding fee.         Steel shot, left in the meat, destroy grinder knives and plates.

 

All orders are bulk packaged and returned fresh NOT frozen.

 

Finished  weights will vary +/- from the amount ordered at check-in.

 

You must pickup your order within THREE (3)DAYS of completion.
All field dressed meats tend to spoil faster than meats dressed under controlled conditions.  We will not be responsible for any product that has spoiled due to your delay in picking up your order.  We have limited storage space and cannot store your meat for any period of time.


Orders not picked up after seven days will be frozen in their bulk packaging and will be assessed a $2/day storage fee.

 

A deposit is required for customers with unclaimed orders from previous years.
